Dr. Laurel Matthews is a Plaintiff's Attorney specializing in Medical Negligence cases where the result is catastrophic injury or wrongful death of the patient. Dr. Matthews was previously a partner at Kampinski & Matthews Co., L.P.A , where she was an integral part in the achievement of multiple multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured patients. She is highly selective with respect to her legal casework and works cooperatively with other experienced, successful, Cleveland malpractice attorneys in order to best serve her select clientele. Many of the cases involve physician and/or hospital cover up and altered records.  Dr. Matthews is an expert in proving these alterations leading to punitive damage awards. Dr. Matthews has achieved more than 15 million dollars in verdicts and settlements since November 2021 on behalf of injured patients and/or their surviving family members.  Dr. Matthews began her career in transplantation and general surgery.  While in law school, she completed her board certification in Emergency Medicine and subsequently practiced Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Matthews is also the owner of Dr. Laurel's PRP Bar, LTD, in Beachwood, Ohio where her private medical practice focuses on Medical Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Medicine. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Procedural Medicine and Aesthetics. Dr. Matthews is Residency and Fellowship trained in General, Vascular, Thoracic, and Multiple Organ Transplantation Surgery and in Surgical Critical Care. Before opening her current aesthetic and rejuvenation practice, Dr. Matthews practiced Emergency Medicine for more than 20 years with appointments taking her to majority of Ohio's larger hospital systems and community hospitals. For the last 8 years of her Emergency Medicine practice, Dr. Matthews was contracted to the Federal Government in the capacity of Emergency Department Physician and/or Director on Indian Reservations across our nation including in Arizona, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Alaska.
